Check out our seminars and classes here.Fuels Class: Tomorrow's AvGas: Mogas or Diesel?Kent Misegades is a frequent aviation fuels speaker and has recently formed a fuel company called Rebel Fuel that delivers aviation-grade, ethanol-free mogas to any airport in the Southeast at the lowest possible cost. There is no cost to the class, however, we ask that you email Kent to let him know you're interested and will be attending, so that he can setup accordingly. The class will be up at the main hanger, Friday at 2 pm. Aviation PhotographyProfessional aviation photographer John Slemp will be hosting a photography class for anyone who would like to get a bit more out of their photography. The class is open to all skill levels, from rookie to professional. While we can get as technical as necessary, please don't expect a graduate level class in the intricate details of photography. Instead, we'll concentrate more on what makes a good photograph, and the mindset needed to get there.
John will host an hour-long initial orientation on Thursday evening, just after the "cook you own steak night". Meet in the main hanger at 8:15pm, for a casual introduction to John and his work. All are welcome to attend on Thursday evening.
Friday morning at 8am sharp, we'll be back in the main hangar, where we'll have several discussions lasting up to lunch time. Topics to be covered include composition and lighting considerations when creating images, setting up your camera for the best results, an introduction to processing, organizing, and storing digital files, and what you can do with them afterwards. The goal of the morning sessions is to educate as to what is possible with digital files, and to whet your appetite to learn more about the process.
After lunch, be prepared to walk, as John will accompany those interested in having a "hands-on" shooting session. After supper that evening, John will demonstrate shooting during the "magic hour", both with available light, and with strobe.
Items to bring include: your camera and flash, digital memory cards, fresh/recharged batteries, your instruction manual, comfy shoes, bug spray, a hat, and a good attitude! Tripods and laptops are optional, but are most definitely welcome. Cost for the Friday class is $50, payable in advance via credit card or cash. A written handout will be provided with an outline of the class discussions, and more web links than you can digest in a month! All questions should be directed to John, at (404) 245-2411 or via email at john@aerographs.com. Please feel free to visit his website too at Aerographs.com.
While John has stuff to sell (prints, Folios, greeting cards, t-shirts, etc.) only samples will be on hand. Should you have a desire to purchase these items, please order them directly through our e-commerce website. It makes it much easier, logistically speaking, and ensures that you'll receive your order in fine shape.
