'Ask ATC'

Sonny Massey, manager of the busiest GA Airport in the State of SC, will discuss the common misconceptions that pilots have with ATC.  After he explains these misconceptions, you will have the opportunity to get your questions answered.


10:00am - 11:00am

IPADs in Aviation

Kevin Kirkland

Bring your iPads!  Kevin will discuss the Pro's & Con's of iPads in Aviation.  Then, using ForeFlight, he will dig deep into the application and show you some of the tips, tricks & techniques to help you on your next flight.

 


1:30pm - 2:30pm

Flying to Canada and Alaska - What is Required and What is Handy to Have With You

 Dale Ellis

Dale Ellis will present a seminar on the steps necessary to fly from the "lower 48" to Canada, flying in Canada, and then the steps necessary to fly from Canada to either Alaska or the "lower 48".  He will also offer comments on what you should have with you on such a flight and what is nice to have with you (but necessarily required).  Dale is a retired airline pilot and holds a Multi-Engine ATP, and CFI-I, MEI.

Introduction to Soaring

If you have ever wanted to know more about soaring, this seminar is for you.  Scott will tell you what it is, how they do it and how you can get involved along with some personal experience stories of soaring.
